it breaks my heart to know how much you hurt. even though i could never feel the pain yur feelin, i feel pain to know that you've lost someone so special to you. it brings tears to my eyes. it really does. i made a promise to help you stop this choking game by telling everyone i know. i'm tryin real hard too. i've been helping over a year now and i've made lots of friends. every friend i made i've told them about the choking game. one friend i've made lit a candle. her name is tami fox. after telling her everything i knew about this choking game, giving her websites with information about it, and leting her know how i'm helping you and how much pain this has caused yall she told me " that is so nice but so sad! My precious David Cody I spent my mothers day at the river where you so freely flow and  make the waters so blue I have a hard time going there for instead of us being there playing in the water picking up rocks watching you on top of that big rock in the middle of the river I was there with your Daddy Uncle Jimmy and your best buddy uncle Billy and we  were spreading your ashes, I wish so bad there never was this choking game  and you were 13 getting ready for 14 instead we will never see you drive your first car graduate from high school all we have are hte precious memories of a beautiful little man who was taught a deadly game and lost his precious life, I still hurt so bad I know your grandpa daddy becky  your 2 beautiful sisters and grandma as well , forever you will be inbeded in our hearts and our minds, i love you and miss you honey but i feel blessed as if you walk  this mountain and you watch over us sometimes i think i hear you laugh and i have to look around , to see if you are here , i dont care what anyone says  thinks or believes but i know you come to visit us and you  let us know you are here and you love us. i love you my little buddy go see mawmaw and get some fried green maters you will love them. and i am sure paw paw will teach you how to spit the right way lol . sing off key with uncle bill but just let him play that guitar and groan always loved it.  i bet jim earls a playing the drums and donnie a playig that guitar i bet yall have a hoe down every night, miss them good ole days. love ya kid love Aunt Tina and Uncle Billy.    Dave this so called chocking game is getting more attention, and they still say kids can get HIGH. They don't understand that you don't get High. The feeling you get is what it feels like just before you DIE. No matter how many times you play and don't DIE, your body is preparing itself to DIE. If you keep playing it, you will DIE. Don't pay no mind to what the media is saying about getting HIGH, you not getting HIGH, YOU ARE DIEING!!!!!! I'm not an expert so people are not going to leason to me, but I will try my best to make them understand that kids or grown-ups should play this game only if they are ready to die. THIS IS NOT THE WAY TO GET HIGH!!!!! Dave, I can't turn back time and bring you back, but you and me can give some other child a little more time if only we can make people understand that this game will kill you. Please kids, don't play this game to get high, it don't work. If you are a parent or grandparent take the time to find out more about this choking game so you won't have to deal with this kind of death. It's not easy! David Cody would have gave his life for a friend, so be his friend and don't play the choking game. You never know he may have died to save you, so don't play this game, THE CHOCKING GAME.

    Grandpa bad boy, I haven't talked to you in awhile, since you already know whats going on not much to tell. Your sister Alyssa is now 16 years old. Miss Hannah turns 8 today. I think!!!! As you know she is getting bigger, so you gonna have to watch over her more and more everyday. She's cute as a whip, just like her brother. As for the other sister, she has been over here for a few days, and eating up all my grits and cheese, and making one heck of a mess on grandma stove. Think I should kick her butt?? Yea you would. More kids have gotten on the bus to CAMP HEAVEN, but we are helping some kids with your story, so maybe soon the bus to CAMP HEAVEN will stop making the run. That will be nice. Anyways me grandma and the boys are doing good, and Max is glad you are looking out for him. I thought for sure we had lost him the other night when he jumped the 5 foot fence, and didn't come home until 2 am. He must have some little Angles watching over him. I just watched "Dr. G" last night and David Cody's story was on first.  I am so sorry for David Cody's family.  The pain must be so hard to bear.  But perhaps this tragedy and the awareness it brings will save some lives, although I doubt that is much consolation.  What a handsome young man with so much promise.  I am truly sorry for your loss. Hi Dave. Estoy tan feliz!!! It's spanish for i'm so happy. On this day (Thursday May 21, 2009) I only have 1 more day left in school. ^^.lol. Anyways, I know i'm like always busy that i'm not on often anymore. But trust me. I'm still keepin my promise. No matter what. How can I ignore this when it took you from people you loved. i'm tellin more and more people and people are asking me questions and are concrened now. They now wanna help. It excites me. But wat excites me the most is that how happy your family will be once this game end. they will finally be able to rest and will be able to say "We did it. We deceased the Choking Game!"    Well time gose on and we get older no matter where we are. Happy Birthday David Cody. I bet CAMP HEAVEN is gonna have one big party today. I wish I could be there to see all your new friends and eat some real angle food cake. So what do you's guys do all day? Yea I know play games, pick on girls, fight, tell jokes, jump clouds. It seems like some time when I'm looking at the clouds, I can see little spacks going from one cloud to anather, Is that yall????? 14 years old, man It seems like just yesterday that you were wee weeing in grandpa's boot.      You know dave that your dad has a hard time with you being off to CAMP HEAVEN, we all do, but he feels he wasn't there for you when you needed him. As a father I feel his pain.   Ok, dude, I'm a little older and a little wiser, but the pain of not seeing you is not getting any better. I can talk to you, I can walk with you, but I wish I could see and feel you, I really miss them morning hugs, and I love you grandpa, and the smile and wink. I know you here with me, and you know what I feel and think, but boy I miss you bad. You are almost 14 now and it's time to talk about the birds and the bees, but it won't do you any good in CAMP HEAVEN. I was looking forward to the day when you would say " grandpa can I use your truck tonight, I have a date" That will never happen! That CHOCKING GAME took not only your life, but mine too. There were so many things we could have done, but because of that CHOCKING GAME they won't get done. So many grand parents and mothers and fathers that have lost their child to this game are feeling the same pain as me. You keep on smiling down on me and maybe just maybe I might get through this pain. It's not like I can just take a pain pill and it will go away. The only way to ease the pain is to see and hold you. hearing so many wonderful stories about him seems so impossible for me to actually think of him as gone. it hurts so bad knowing that you've lost so much. yesterday at my track meet, all i could really think about was that game and him. i through me off track at first but i got back on. but it was so hard.(btw....came in 4th place in 3200 run and 1600 run :) ) you would wake up one morning smiling but then you would think about the game and how it killed Dave and feel like someone drove a stake in your heart. i feel so twisted at times. but like i said, the warnings are working and we are putting an end to this killer. but still it's so sad to know that Dave had to lose his life and you had to suffer just to get information out to people. i hate it as much as you do. but God has his reasons why he chose David Cody and we just have to follow him in that.

i think about you everyday. i'm so proud of you and everything your family is doing. i hate that this put your family into so much and i hate that you had to go home so early, but i know that you are proud and i know that you know the KILLER will end. i've deticated so much of my time into helping your family to stop this game. i know its hard to see your family cry at times and i know you want to tell them so bad.." i love you, it'll be ok" again. i know that you missed them so much that it hurts. but it will all end and you will see them again.

   My name is Casey Wilson I am 17 years old, and I met David Cody at the flea market when he use to come up there with his grandfather. I didn't know Dave had passed away, until I watched Dr. G. on T.V. the other day. He was such a sweet young man. He would help my mom and he would smile and say "you sure are pretty"and his face would turn red and he'd run away. Soon he'd be back and he'd smile and wink and say "I had to go help my grandpa". We talked alot, I got to know Dave and his grandfather. He always respected my mom and me, and just as sweet as he could be. He was only 12, but  you never new it just by talking to him. I know his grandfather must miss him very much, they seem to have so much fun together. I wonder why Dave's dad never light's a candle, or says anything about Dave. I'm sorry not going there! But I would like to know what his dad thanks about his son.

     David Cody told me one time, that he was a lucky kid, because he had a grandmother and mother all rolled into one. Had two mothers, and two fathers, one just a father and a grandfather. You would have to know David Cody to understand all that. We haven't been to the flea market in a long time, so I haven't seen Daves grandfather. Mr. Jim if you read this, I want you to know you are in my prayers. Thanks to Dr. G. and you and your family for what you are doing to stop this game, that has took so many from their family. Close

My name is Matthew, i am a 17 year old volunteer firefighter from New York. I learned about David from the Dr.G Medical Examiner show. After watching that episode i became intrested in the subject. I have never heard about this chocking game until i found this site. In memory for Dave i am currently organizing a campaign to prevent any more death from this game. In this campaign i will make not only young teens aware about the consequences of this game, but also teachers and parents. Since watching the show and reading this site, i have devoted all of my spare-time and effort into this campaign. You have my condolances. Dave, if you read this... im sorry about what happened, but think about the bright side, you will have saved many lives by making people aware of the chocking game; and to the Family- my heart goes out to you!

 The Dr. G. show keeps on running your story Dave, and I thank It's working. More and more people will know how deadly this choking game is. The kids that watch the show, are saying they never will play this game, but there are kids still playing It. Just a week or so ago a kid died from playing the game. I do feel that if we could get the warnings on T.V., It would stop so many kids from playing this game.
