David Cody joined THE MARLINS T_BALL TEAM. They gave him one of the must importent positions in baseball THE SHORTSTOP. I ask him "dave you sure you can handle that position". he said "sonugh grandpa I"M THE MAN!! His first game grandpa get's the video camcorder sit up for some good action baseball movies. The only action I got was parents fussing about who's kid was the best. As for David Cody he played in the dirt. got into his position, kicked a little dirt around, threw stones at the kids in the outfield. But he would catch the ball if it came his way. Didn't know what to do with it when he cought it, run with it or throw it, when he did make up his mind the runner was home already. Know when it came time to bat, he was ready,willing, and able. He would have liked the game better if he could just hit the ball,and not do any of the other stuff. His opion on baseball was the same as basketball, golf, stock car racing, soccer, and football, BORINGGGGGG. Now fishing, and shooting pool, and karate is what Dave could sink his teeth into. There is a fishing story I need tell, but not today.

David Codys daddy tought how to fish, sward fight, all about sports, and games, but grandpa introduced him to the PS-2 when he was three or four. Like teaching them to talk, maybe it was a misstake. I had to fight with him to play my own play station 2. I tought him how to play games while sitting on your butt, I'm bad, but it was fun. The first one was RAYMAN, but a little slow, so next was crash bandicoot, and he loved it. He could get to place's I couldn't get to. Would make me so darn mad, he'd say see grandpa it's easy. Four years old and he teach grandpa how to play. As time went by we got into RATCHET AND CLANK, JAK AND DAXTER, sports games, I even let him try grand theft auto, but it wasn't the kind of game we should play, so he only played it when grandpa wasn't home. I know he did!! But anyways his daddy tought him about the good stuff, and grandpa tought him the bad stuff or the better stuff, just how you look at it. Knowing David Cody he sitten up there right now playing grand theft auto cause he knows grandpa can't see. Well boy you best put it away when you done. I will find out, you know you can't hide from grandpa. Keep the sunshining kid.

A little about david cody, david cody, his dad and sister alyssa came to fl. to live with grandma and me when he was about a year old. He was cute as a whip. I got to help teach him to walk and talk. He could say grandpa cuter then anybody. He'd say, " I wuv wou gandpa". He loved that purple thing on tv for a long time. We took them to universal studio to see him in person. Dave never liked the muppets, or big bird and the gang.Before he was out of diapers, he felt the need for SWORDS. Any stick over 6 inch's long was a SWORD. We gave him SWORDS for Cristmas, SWORDS for birthdays, and when ever grandma took him to the store with her. He got lots of SWORDS and grandpa took away a lot of SWORDS. If he wasn't sword fighting with the dogs he was chaseing his sister trying to get her to sword fight with him. He chopped up grandmas flowers too, thats why grandpa had more Swords than david cody. At 12 years old he was still picking up sticks and calling it a SWORD. He even got grandpa to help him make some. They didn't last long, he tried to chop down trees with'm. he'd say to me " grandpa if there was one wish I could have, I'd want to be a time travaler. I could go back in time and collect all the SWORDS I want. Thats my wish". Maybe his wish has come true.

I thank this is the year David Cody got a new mommy, he was a happy little camper. He was about to go into the terrible 2"s, But after miss beckey come into his life he missed the terrible 2's. He was the cuties and sweeties 2 year old you ever meet.But he made up for it when he turn 3.Dave loved to stand in the corner ( he must have because he would find something to do that would get him in the corner) Always getting into something tell him NO DAVID CODY DON"T DO THAT! he'd crick a bigo smile and keep right on doing what he was doing. He could be so darn sweet too, come over climb in grandpa's lap, give me little kiss on the cheek and say wuv wu gandpa.

Friday sept. 21st. David Cody came home from school, gave me a hug, then he smiled and winked. Then I new he was in trouble. I said " Ok, dave what did you do?" He said " Me and a buddy tried to skip school, and a cop had to take us to school. I told the cop that we didn't have to go to school cause we got the day off. He didn't beleave me."  " You lied to a cop," I said. He said, " thats pretty bad ant it?" Darn right thats bad dave, what we gonna do with you boy! He said" Well you could ground me for a week or two, take away my T.V., D V D player, my toys and games." I said " David Cody you keep getten into trouble you gonna land youself in jail, so this is what we gonna do. You gonna spend the next two days in your bedroom with no tv no games no toys, and you only come out to go bathroom and eat. So go get you a snack and then we will remove all your toys, games, and dvd player and unplug your T.V.
